Duncan Bedhall has recently won “Deal Maker Of The Year” in the West Midlands. This prize goes to the individual surveyor who has completed the most deals in the region over the previous 12 months according to EGI.
October 2012 – Retail Unit Let
Acting on behalf of a local investor, Jarvie Bedhall successfully negotiated a letting to Hereford Furniture. Hereford Furniture manufacture their products in nearby Hereford and are expanding their retailing into the heart of Worcestershire.
July 2012 – Redundant Clinics Sold For Sandwell PCT
Jarvie Bedhall were retained by Sandwell Primary Care Trust to dispose of surplus clinics within their portfolio. We successfully completed the first sale in Great Barr, followed by another in Oldbury. The Oldbury property is being reused as a children’s nursery.
July 2012 – Investment Acquired Off Market - Kidderminster
Jarvie Bedhall identified an investment opportunity which was pre-let to Tesco Stores, prior to it being offered to the market. We subsequently negotiated the forward purchase on behalf of private clients.
June 2012 – Freehold Sale In Alcester
Following extensive negotiations to refurbish and extend the building, our clients Evenacre have sold the property for a purchase price in excess of £1.6 Million. Jarvie Bedhall acted for Evenacre and introduced the purchaser Seco.
April 2012 – BT Sold - West Bromwich
A recently completed office building which was let to BT for 15 years has been sold on behalf of our clients for a purchase price of £19,500,000.
April 2012 – 60,000 Sq Ft Industrial Sold For Clients - Cradley Heath
Acting on behalf of M Seven, Jarvie Bedhall have negotiated and successfully sold an industrial complex in Cradley Heath.
April 2012 – Residential Success In Stourbridge
Jarvie Bedhall have completed the sale of a prominent site close to Stourbridge ring road. The site was previously in educational use and we negotiated a conditional contract to Lioncourt Homes, enabling the developer to achieve a detailed planning consent for 14 houses.
March 2012 – Industrial Building Let In Tipton
Acting on behalf of M Seven, a new letting has been completed to DeVilbiss Healthcare. The 10,160 sq ft unit is situated on Bloomfield Park in Tipton.
February 2012 – Premier Inn Acquired - Stratford Upon Avon
A new 130 bed hotel let to Premier Inn has been acquired on behalf of Axa for a purchase price in excess of £9,000,000. The canal fronted hotel forms part of the Waterways development in the town centre.
January 2012 – Railway Station Sold - Wolverhampton
Acting on behalf of Oswin Developments, Jarvie Bedhall have sold the listed former Low Level Station in Wolverhampton. This is the final phase of the Bluebrick development which included student housing, residential development and construction of a new public house and Premier Inn for Whitbread. The transaction required extensive negotiations with the local planning authority to secure the appropriate consent and will be converted to a banqueting centre.
December 2011 – Investment Acquired - Birmingham
A new 88 bedroom hotel let to Travelodge has been acquired on behalf of SWIP at a purchase price of £6,640,000. The hotel is situated in Birmingham city centre, close to Moor Street and New Street railway stations.
November 2011 – Rare Success At The Waterfront
During difficult market circumstances we have managed to secure a significant letting at The Waterfront, Merry Hill. Acting on behalf of Mapeley Estates Ltd, the second floor of Capstan House has been let. The suite extending to approximately 6,000 sq ft has been let to Innovise PLC, who are currently in the process of fitting out and moving into the building.
This is one of the very few deals that have been completed at this office scheme over the last few years.
November 2011 – Freehold Sold In Blackheath
Acting on behalf of Revelan, Jarvie Bedhall have concluded the sale of a modern industrial unit comprising 18,628 sq ft in Blackheath, Birmingham. This followed prolonged negotiations which included the purchaser applying for a change of use to a metal recycling facility. The price achieved was a highly credible £65 per sq ft.
October 2011 – Investment Acquired For Invista
A new 75,000 sq ft office building has been constructed by Stoford, representing the first phase of the All Saints regeneration and development close to West Bromwich town centre.
The building was pre let to British Telecom and Jarvie Bedhall acted for Invista Real Estate, who agreed to purchase the completed investment for a price of just under £15,000,000.
September 2011 – Industrial Building - Let - Kidderminster
Acting on behalf of a private investor, Jarvie Bedhall have let Unit 1, Wilton Mill on the Firs Industrial Estate in Kidderminster. This unit extended to 11,368 sq ft and has been fully refurbished.
The building was let to Ceetek Chemicals who manufacture cleaning products and were moving due to the re-development of their existing site.
The property had previously been marketed unsuccessfully by another agent and we were able to secure an appropriate tenant within a relatively short time of instruction.
August 2011 – Unit P, Blackpole Trading Estate East, Worcester
Jarvie Bedhall were called to advise the owners of this modern freehold industrial unit in Worcester.
The property had been on the market for a considerable time with another agent and it was clear to us that the asking terms were overly ambitious.
The property was marketed with a more appropriate price and was soon sold to Bluseal Ltd, who manufacture specialist industrial doors.
August 2011 – Industrial Investment Acquired
Acting on behalf of Evenacre, a private industrial investment company, we acquired a large manufacturing plant in Halesowen. The property is on Hereward Rise and is let to the Swiss manufacturing company, Rieter Automotive, who manufacture vehicle carpets and sound proofing systems for manufacturers such as Jaguar Land Rover and Bentley.
The acquisition gave Evenacre an attractive return on their investment and opportunities for active management.
July 2011 – Skoda To Stourbridge
A car showroom on the A458 close to Stourbridge town centre has been let on a new ten year lease to Trust Motor Group. Jarvie Bedhall acting on behalf of the Landlord negotiated a dilapidations settlement from the previous tenant and following a marketing campaign, secured the new letting at a rental of £65,000 per annum.
June 2011 – Swan Village Industrial Estate, West Bromwich
This industrial estate in West Bromwich, was owned by six different parties. Jarvie Bedhall was instructed by all six parties to dispose of the properties. A purchase was negotiated with Brindley Garages for the entire estate, which comprised six individual transactions. This was a complicated transaction and required much co-ordinating and liaising with other professionals.
May 2011 – Occupiers Stream into High Profile Oldbury Estate
Gregston Trade Centre, situated on the Birmingham Road in Oldbury, has seen a flood of lettings over the last two months with 4 new tenants taking units on the estate. Each unit extends to approximately 1,000 sq ft with rents being achieved in excess of £6psf. The recent success has been attributed to the presentation and quality of the product combined with a proactive marketing campaign.
March 2011 – Gablemere Added to Finepoint Occupiers List.
Jarvie Bedhall has secured the latest tenant for the increasingly popular Finepoint development in Kidderminster. Gablemere, a Worcestershire based company specialising in the distribution of garden products have signed a ten year lease on 22,000 sq ft of modern warehouse and office accommodation to use as their new headquarters. The Gablemere letting complements the recent run of deals within the estate, including both the sale to Spokes of 5,000 sq ft and the land sale to Wyre Forest District Council for their new HQ.
February 2011 – 16,000 sq ft ‘Sold’ in Prime City Centre Location
We are pleased to confirm the sale of a self contained warehouse property located in a prominent position on the main Newtown Row, in Birmingham City Centre. The property, a modern portal frame warehouse was sold for a price in excess of £65 per sq ft and will be occupied by the purchaser as a distribution headquarters.
January 2011 - Jarvie Bedhall Sells Trinity Point In A Seven Figure Deal
Acting on behalf of Stainton Capital, Jarvie Bedhall have successfully negotiated the sale of the landmark office investment in Halesowen, known as Trinity Point.
The investment was sold to Schreiber Holdings for a Seven figure sum.
The property had been held by Stainton for a number of years, however the building no longer fitted their investment criteria. We were therefore instructed to identify a purchaser and negotiate a sale.
Schreiber Holdings intend to invest a major sum to bring the vacant office space up to a category A standard. Modern office occupiers demand very high quality office space and will, very often, not compromise this in order to save money. There is not much category A space left on the M5 corridor and the new owners intend to provide this at Trinity Point.

December 2010 - 33,000 Sqft Warehouse/Industrial Building Sold In Oldbury
Jarvie Bedhall have sold 60 Dudley Road East Oldbury on behalf of IM Group PLC.
This warehouse/industrial building comprised 34,000 SqFt of workshop space, a separate office building and ample parking and yard areas.
The purchaser was MTD Scaffolding who intend to adapt the premises to their requirements and move in on the expiry of their current lease.
This sale demonstrates the difficult nature of the current market, where tenacity and patience are required to complete a deal. Terms for the sale of the property had been agreed with two other parties over the marketing, however planning requirements scuppered one deal and the other party was unable to obtain mortgage finance, despite their Banks initial support.
18 June 2010 - 23,000 ft2 Leisure – Dudley Road, Halesowen – LET
We have recently completed the letting to Wheelspin Karting, who are taking 23,000 sq ft in a prominent position on the main Dudley Road in Halesowen. Planning permission has been secured and the tenant is now in occupation commencing their fit out.

Spokes, part of the Emily Jordan Foundation, have acquired a warehouse of approximately 5000 sq ft on Finepoint in Kidderminster. Spokes have taken the last remaining 5000 sq ft unit within the development leaving only four 10-11,000 sq ft units remaining.

January 2010 - Sold out at Brook Park development
The final unit, extending to 30,240 ft2, at Revelan’s Brook Park in Cradley is under construction following successful negotiations with Central Supplies, a local cheese distributor.
Jarvie Bedhall identified that the company had outgrown their existing premises near Merry Hill and were seeking to relocate to a new purpose built facility.
Working closely with Revelan, we designed a new building to Central’s requirements, obtained planning consent and have agreed a forward sale of the freehold interest following completion.
December 2009 - Jarvie Bedhall on board at Finepoint

A new letting has been completed at Planetary Industrial estate in Wednesfield. UPVC Distributers trading as National Plastics have taken Unit 2 on a new 5 year lease.
